What a Day!!!
So this is what we have been waiting for... Well, me actually. Do to the numerous times Chris and the kids have already been skiing , we're only talking about me.. Chris spent the morning with Cannon and doing some one on one improvements while Bailey and I tore the mountain up!! Then Chris had to leave for work and Cannon joined Bailey and I. Let me tell you sibling rivalry is the force behind these two!! What one did the other HAD to do.. Bailey is much faster than Cannon, but after we got farmiliarized with the runs Cannon learned that straight down the "drop off" was a short cut and before I could stop him he was off and over the side of the cat track. Supprisingly he did great and of course I had to follow. He fell a couple of times and the powder was higher than him... Over all I am more than proud of these two!!!
We stopped by to see you guys and I guess you were too busy having fun on the mountain. Sorry we missed you. Bailey and Cannon are going to be such good little skiers. Tyler says he wants to start Tyden snowboarding early. Too bad I'm a baby when it comes to skiing or snowboarding and I'll be left out. Oh well, I'm fine staying inside where it's nice and warm.
Lance took Ellie up for her second time yesterday too! He also invited Wes so Ellie had to share her skiis. Next time I'll send her with you two so she can get some real one on one time, or better yet, I'll have Bailey take her down and show her the ropes. WHere is Mike? Like the new look, you go you little blogger you.
Ok, seriously when are we going to get together?? I had no idea that you are a die harder skier! When did that happen or have you always been? I guess me and Cort need to take our kids up and start teaching them. I have been wondering when they would be old enough to take, but it sounds like the younger the better! Although I think I would have some serious aniexty if they tried to go off any drop offs.
These are 3 of Cannons' friends at his school. I adore these boys but let me tell you -they often spell TROUBLE

He likes to be caged, he just doesn't know how to control himself when allowed to run free, with all that room and space...
rude awakening..
Dec. 13 So I thought I'd share a little story of today's events. This morning before I took Cannon to school I decided to cut his hair.. He looked at me before I took the first snip and said "you better not mess this up lady". It was quite funny...
However it was our afternoon events that led to the rude awakening. I took Cannon to the pet store to buy some fish for his new turtle "tuck". Tuck has not been eating his food and each morning before Cannon wakes up Chris and I check to make sure the turtle is still alive. (let me tell you this was not the greatest idea of gifts, however Cannon thanks us daily for this turtle that is hanging on to life by a thread and is oh so non exciting), anyhow we looked on line and found out that they enjoy eating small goldfish once a week. So we went to buy some and Cannon was oh so excited. We brought them home and added them to Tucks water. Cannon could not contain his excitement and introduced Tuck to his new friends, calling them each individual and creative names. The fish had been in there no more than 10 seconds when Tuck took a bite of one and Cannon lost it!!! I mean lost it!!! He was hysterical and started screaming.. "mom he's killing the fish!! Mom hurry !!" well I was right there and just then I remembered that I had not explained the reason why we had purchased the fish... Then I explained to Cannon that Tuck needed to eat the fish blah blah blah to stay alive. Cannon said "cool" and went on with his day. So much for the fish!
FINALLY THE SNOW!!!
Just to update you on our much anticipated first day of skiing. Chris took the kids skiing for the first time this season last Fri.. and it was great!! Bailey left Chris and Cannon behind because they were slowin her down.. Where's the pictures you ask? Well me not being there ( I was workin as usual) means no camera- So this week you'll get a skiing pic for sure!!! *****
No One Left Behind....
This last week I returned from a funeral in Texas.. One of my best friends Lisa had passed away... I thought of one of my mom's favorite sayings..No one Left Behind.. I am just glad to know that no matter what I do in my life that I feel that my family would never leave me behind and that my life always has meaning.. Lisa and her family had parted ways many years ago and never got back together; even at the time of her death her family decided not to be there to remember her...I will always remeber her and the friend she was to me.. She got me through a rough few months when Chris and I couldn't be together..
Thanksgiving 2007

is it too much to keep putting pictures of myself on this blog?
Is vanity still one of the seven sins or did we finally do away with it?

at the lake in vermont, oh wait again the front yard- I was confused with all that water and what fun we were having that day!
all we need is love
Anyone that has kids probably finds they all have the same love/hate relationship
Mike
so again, if you have kids and a brother in law living with you -you get the love / hate relationship between kids right? In all honesty I couldn't live without Mike and neither could my kids!!
