they grow up so fast!!

I awakened on thurs. morning (after working all night) To a little party.. much to my daughters' amazement I had forgotten about Rudys' first birthday... We often have pseudo parties for the dolls, dinosaurs, turtle, gold fish etc.. but how I forgot King Rudilicious Petry's birthday is beyond me!!! Bailey had bought him a rather large bone and a chew toy... Where again has the time gone.. First they are babies and then all of the sudden they are all grown up ....

playin' hookie!!

Fri. Jan 18th... So we just can't get enough..We've tried to go skiing almost every day lately, which has been great because each day we can see an improvement in the kids.!!Cannon is all about speed while Bailey likes to hit every ski jump. Cannon has decided that turning is a waste of his time because it slows him down.. We were going down a fairly difficult hill when he decided to take off and yelled to Chris and I "see ya". Chris and I immediately sped up to catch him and threatened him with riding the rope tow for the rest of the day. He replied " Hey just let me ski, I'll slow down when I want." Well it wasn't too long after that he had a little yard sale accross the mtn. Needless to say, he still continued to reach impressive speeds!!! All I can say is thank goodness for the helmet!! ( oh and don't tell Bailey's teacher that she wasn't really sick.. wink wink)

What a Day!!!

So this is what we have been waiting for... Well, me actually. Do to the numerous times Chris and the kids have already been skiing , we're only talking about me.. Chris spent the morning with Cannon and doing some one on one improvements while Bailey and I tore the mountain up!! Then Chris had to leave for work and Cannon joined Bailey and I. Let me tell you sibling rivalry is the force behind these two!! What one did the other HAD to do.. Bailey is much faster than Cannon, but after we got farmiliarized with the runs Cannon learned that straight down the "drop off" was a short cut and before I could stop him he was off and over the side of the cat track. Supprisingly he did great and of course I had to follow. He fell a couple of times and the powder was higher than him... Over all I am more than proud of these two!!!

"Dork" is part of the charm!!

Welcome to Thirty "freakin" Five!!! I recently read that men hit their peak between 35-40 , so it's time for this guy to STEP IT UP!! I'm expecting big things over the next 5yrs!! In case you don't know this man, he is crazy. He is loud and then he is LOUDER. I've often thought the cheesy term "live life out loud" was meant for my husband. He bikes, rock climbs, skiis , runs, hikes you name it... I've never kept up, ive tried and failed but at least I have kids he can recruit to his little expeditions. (Cannon actually thinks they'll be climbing Mt. Everest in the near future). I can explain Chris like a two year old on crack (where does a two year old get all their energy , and where do they get crack?) Any how, He thinks he gets older but I think he just gets better!! (woo woo) p.s. (for those of you at home that have two year olds with real crack habits, excuse my insensitivity with that last comment)
